At a container terminal, we tested a harbour crane using a specially assembled test weights frame. The individual test weights were pre-assembled in the frame so that the whole thing could be lifted as one solid mass.

The frame with weights was driven under the crane with a trailer. By means of twistlocks, the assembly was coupled to, after which the test load was carried out. This approach enabled a safe, representative and efficient test, without additional handling of individual weights on site.
